Scope search for Federal and Municipal treatises
The scope search functionality is now available for the following Federal content sets:
- Canadian Income Tax Guide
- Guide fiscal CCH
- Fiscalité des réorganisations corporatives
- Canadian Real Estate Income Tax Guide

- Planification financière et successorale (EN: Financial and Estate Planning)
The scope search functionality is now available for the following Municipal content sets:
- Communautés Métropolitaines et Chartes Municipales
- Règlements concernant les municipalités du Québec
- Vers une gestion plus efficace de la TPS et de la TVQ
- Les relations de travail au Québec (public et privé)
- Accès à l'information - Santé et services sociaux
- Accès à l'information et la protection des renseignements personnels

When browsing the content, users can now initiate a search from a specific Part or Division of a document. The search results will be scoped to that specific Part or Division of the document.
Federal Income Tax Act enhanced browsing experience
Users now have access to a new in-doc Table of Contents available for our Federal Income Tax Act legislation, rules and regulations, in English & French, by clicking on the Explore the Law button in Legislation 360° view.
Topic-based filters for Federal case law
We have introduced topic-based (taxonomy) filters for all our federal case law. Users can narrow their search for case law by click on the Case Law filter and then selected the by Topic additional filter:
Searching Municipal legislation using acronyms
We have expanded the scope of the citation jump-to searching dictionary to Municipal legislation. Users can now search sections of the legislation using specific acronyms.
- In the search bar type the acronym and the section number you’re interested in.
- The specific section will appear in the prediction list.
- Click on the suggestion in the drop-down menu and you will be redirect to that specific section of the Act.
Citation search is available for the following Acts:
- Code de la sécurité routière = CSR [section #]
- Loi sur l'accès aux documents des organismes publics et sur la protection des renseignements personnels = LDPRP [section #]
- An Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information = AADPPI [section #]
